This Test Set extends the capability of the HP 8970B Noise Figure Meter to measure noise over frequencies from 10MHz to 18GHz with a single calibration and sweep.
It features a low-noise pre-amp built into the test set that lowers the second stage noise figure.
This reduces a major source of measurement uncertainty.
